About Tony Kirchner:

Tony Kirchner is a native St. Louisan and lifelong public servant, a veteran of the United States Navy, and currently serving the citizens of St. Louis as a Deputy Sheriff.

Tony grew up in South City and attended Bishop Dubourg High School. He served four years in the Navy and returned to St. Louis where he began serving in the Sheriff’s Office. He also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Management from Webster University. Active in the community, Tony is the Vice President of the 13th Ward Democrats

Tony has served as a Deputy Sheriff for over 8 years. He is a diligent and hard worker, awarded Deputy of the Year in 2017.

In the Sheriff’s Office, Tony serves in a special unit trained to handle people in a mental health crisis. Tony is a Crisis Intervention Team instructor for the City of St. Louis Sheriff’s Office. Tony’s direct experience with this Crisis Intervention Team training specializes in assisting those in mental health crises, where he developed as a strong advocate of this type of training for law enforcement officers.

Tony is running because he believes our city government has lost its ability to provide the most basic services necessary to function.

From failing in trash collection to unanswered 911 dispatch, Tony believes the city needs to focus on the basic services citizens expect. His number one priority is to provide our police with the proper training and resources to properly address the crime in our neighborhoods.

He resides in the Bevo Mill Neighborhood with his girlfriend, Jen, and their children.
